The beautiful hotel and location was marred by the foul attitude of the staff. Absolutely disrespectful and my wife and 2 daughters stayed here alone and were made to feel totally uncomfortable by the treatment from the staff until I had come.to.the hotel. The staff are absolutely shameless and continually lied to protect themselves. Absolutely filthy attitudes and I regret booking here even though I'm a platinum elite member had no effect at all. Advise anyone planning to.stay here not to.

Nice, quaint hotel located in the heart of Istanbul's Beyoglu district. We spent 4 nights here in March 2024 as a family of 4 (2 adults, one 18 year old and one 10 year old). The highlights of our stay were the following: a) The room - a nice spacious suite with a double bed and a sofa bed that was more than adequate for our needs. b) The location - very conveniently located, with major attractions such as Istiklal Street and the Galata bridge being a short walk away. There are also plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood (including a couple of very nice joints within a 1-2 minute walking distance), which we found very useful in the evenings (especially after having spent the whole day taking in Istanbul's wondrous sights). c) The staff at the front desk - an extremely pleasant & helpful bunch, who went out of their way to give us suggestions on what to do, answer our queries, book a Bosphorus cruise for us, and replenish any amenities that we needed in the room. The only thing that holds me back from giving a 5-star rating was our experience at breakfast times in the hotel's rooftop restaurant. While the breakfast options were quite plentiful, service was painfully slow, possibly because the place only had two servers who were overwhelmed by the need to cater to several guests - consequently there were at least 3 occasions on which something we had ordered never reached us. This apart, our stay was an extremely nice one, and I would not hesitate to recommend the place to people looking for a short stay in Istanbul.

Avoid this hotel if you have family specially if you have a kid with allergens . Stayed at this hotel nearly 18-20months ago , my child suffered a severe allergic reaction by the food prepared at the hotel kitchen and this happened in the mid of our stay hence the hotel kitchen management knew from day 1 about the my child’s food allergy . My child ended up in A&E and had to be put on intervenors life saving medication and stayed at the hospital for over 4hrs . There was zero accountability from the hotel senior leadership team .

Amazing Stay in Istanbul

This is a fantastic hotel! We were up graded to an executive suite upon arrival and greeted with a cool welcome drink which was much appreciated after a long flight from our home in USA to Istanbul. In the room there was a welcome gift of Turkish Delight. On the second night of our five night stay , I had a bad fall on the sidewalk outside the hotel. The staff assisted getting me back in the hotel and immediately got their first aid kit, cleaned and bandaged my wounds and got ice for my broken nose. They arranged an ambulance for transport to the hospital and the desk clerk gave my wife her personal contact number in case there were any problems at the hospital. We called her to arrange a cab for return to the hotel when I left the emergency room around midnight. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their outstanding care during the rest of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul. They will take good care of you and make you feel like family.

Traveled to Istanbul with my family, 8 adults and 2 children. The Marriott was recommended by a friend based on its location to many restaurants and its easy access to the tourist sites. The hotel is lovely and blends seamlessly into the neighborhood. The interior is beautiful and well designed with a rooftop terrace and restaurant. There are several options for room types which fit all our needs, 1/ a spacious king suite with 2 sofa beds 2/ a beautiful king room perfect for couples and 3/ a two bed room great for the two traveling singles. The front desk staff was all smiles and consistently attentive and kind. Special thanks to Dilhan Tatlısu the guest relations manager. She set us up with appointments at an authentic Hammam in the neighborhood. We will definitely stay again when we return to Istanbul. Thank you lovely staff!
